My Worst Nightmare

WALT: Write about An experience you have had with your least favourite food.
We have been doing a piece of writing, recount, About an experience we have had with out least favourite food. I chose Black forest Chocolate. (Now everyone will be mad)

“CRACK!” The demonic laughing of my old friend still echoes in my mind. The nauseating smell of the black forest chocolate under my nose. One of my oldest friends, April, and me were playing truth or dare in her bedroom. She asked me what my least favourite food was, I told her black forest chocolate. It was just so covenant that she had some of that exact same chocolate. It was half eaten and she dared me to eat THREE squares of that revolting jelly chocolate. I regret telling her that it was my least favourite and then I wouldn’t have been in that situation.  But I had an idea. I then proceeded to throw the chocolate out of the window and told her I was allergic to jelly.

Yes that was a true story. I found keeping it in past tense was hard. or at least putting in enough words that are past tense. I think I did pretty well on my vocabulary, like Demonic and nauseating. But overall it wasn't a big challenge, but It was fun. Please tell me what you think I could improve on. Also your least favourite food!.

Bow and Arrow EXPOSED

WALT: Choose an object to write an explanation about.
So we have been doing explanations on a random everyday object. I did a bow and arrow (yes I know not an everyday object)  It was really challenging to do the diagram because there are so many different types of bows! I chose just a nice and simple one. here is a link to our google site. make sure you scroll down until you see a slide called: Explanations, how does it work?

A bow and arrow is a weapon used in archery or used in combat.

A bow is a wooden (or sometimes metal) arc that has long stiff string attached to the bow stove on both ends that you pull. It is very simple to use a bow and arrow as long as you use it safely, So you have to hold it at your side as if it was a briefcase and then lie it flat in the air almost like you were lying it on a table then you want to attach the arrow by sliding it across the bow until it reaches the place where you let it rest. Once you have done that you need to clip the end onto the string. After you do that you want to use two of your fingers to hold the string, then you put it back upright and pull the string back to your ear before aiming and letting go. Then the arrow goes PACHOO!

That was my Explanation, I'm very proud of the way I wrote the explanation. and the way I Really enjoyed learning about the many different parts of a bow! I have completely finished! But I'm really curious, how many other types of bows are there? Also I think I might try to write a little more next time. I really hoped you liked it! please give be feedback on what I could do better. mainly my writing please. I really want to improve my explanations!
