WALT: write a 100 word story.
Today we were given a challenge to write a 100 word story with this prompt: ...As I read the contents of the letter, I am aware of the smile on my face... It was kinda hard, but I wrote exactly 100 words.
I hurried outside to the mailbox, excitement burning inside of me. I opened the mailbox and pulled out a letter. I opened the letter, as I read the contents of the letter, I was aware of the smile on my face fading. I can’t believe he replaced me with a new family. I showed mum the letter, she burst into tears that was soon replaced by rage. My mum crunched up the letter in her fist and threw it in the fireplace and watched it burn. I ran to my pillow and cried. I lashed out at my unicorn pillow.
It was really hard to write close to 100 words because 100 words is not a lot. It was very fun though, The hardest part was probably trying to end the story on 100 words. If you try this prepare to be challenged. :D
